2015: The Year of Partnering – Shelley Castle Photography

This year, one of our biggest goals is creating and investing in partnerships: with other photographers, vendors, businesses, and customers. One of the first people who came to mind with this partnering intention was an incredible and talented photographer we have known since 2013, Shelley Erickson of Shelley Castle Photography.

Shelley is not only a great photographer and friend, but she has a heart of gold. Since 2013 she has been donating her services to several worthy causes including Veterans Moving Forward and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Such an inspiring businesswoman!

And she’s also a local rockstar! Recently, Shelley was interviewed for the just-released edition of Washingtonian Magazine for an informational article on how to take great photos of your pets (how awesome is that?!?). She asked us to help her create some amazing behind-the-scenes photos while working and playing with her scruffy subjects. So on a snowy weekday afternoon in January, we headed to Jones Point Park in Alexandria to join her on a session, and what we capture was absolutely adorable, and pretty epic!

Shelley is a natural with animals, and can get them to do all sorts of amazing things.
